The permit is valid from 22 August 2015 to 30 June 2017 in Finland, excluding Åland.
Purpose for which the raised funds are to be used
According to the Money Collection Act Section 6, subsection 3, the National Gallery has the right to execute fundraising campaigns to provide support for duties specified in the Act on the Finnish National Gallery (889/2013) Section 2 and to capitalize the National Gallery in 2014–2017.
According to the Act on the Finnish National Gallery (889/2013), it is the National Gallery’s duty to maintain and strengthen the National Gallery’s collection as specified in Section 6, organize exhibits and other art museum activities, participate in the development of the museum field as an expert on the art museum field, and handle other duties assigned by legislation or the Ministry of Education and Culture. While performing its duties, the National Gallery shall reinforce the societal impact of the visual arts.
The raised funds will be permanently deposited into the National Gallery’s base capital. In addition, the raised funds may be used to provide support for duties specified in the Act on the Finnish National Gallery Section 2.
